Founded in 1979 by LaVon Long, Long General Contracting is family owned and has deep roots in the Sandpoint community. LaVon and his two sons, Roy and Rick, began to build a reputation as being a trustworthy company that is devoted to constructing quality buildings befitting of the Long family name.
Since taking over the business in 2002, Roy has continued to cultivate and develop a strong company while strengthening community ties. Roy’s sons, Travis and Jesse joined the family business, which brings new innovations and perspective to an already forward thinking and cutting-edge construction company. Together they continue to improve the strong company foundation while further perfecting the trade with creative processes and a commitment to quality.

Family Business
Long General Contracting has been building in Bonner County for over 40 years, starting in the late 70’s. We have over 350 structures in the area that have withstood record breaking snow falls, windstorms, flooding and the test of time.
Our Team
We have a small, handpicked building crew that are outstanding in both skill and character. Our subcontractors are tried and true, we don’t gamble with your project using untested tradesman. They go the extra mile for us, making you their priority.
In House Design
Using CAD (computer-aided design) software, we partner with you in designing the home of your dreams. We stay in communication throughout the design process, taking your ideas and offering our insights and practical solutions to build a home custom to your needs while also keeping it in your budget.
